Saving w/Project64

Ok first off I am very new to Emulators and ROM's. I currently have all the ROM's that I want and the Emulator configured. Everything works just fine except I am unsure how to save. Can anyone help me? Oh and I have Project64 for my Emulator

Generally you can save the game just like you do on a console. There are otherways to say, like saving a "Saved State" Where it saves EXACTLY where you pressed the saved state at.

Also, some games require you set a Controller Pak. You can do so by adjusting your input settings (they vary depending of the plugin you're using).
