All comments are welcome. Also, if you are going to vote, please give the top three reasons behind your choice.
I'm going to vote for Kerry myself. I'm a democrat but my reasoning goes deeper than that. The economy has been pretty shitty the last four years, we have no business in Iraq, and his tax cuts for the rich have created another deficit. I have more reasons than that (Halaburton for one), but those are the top three. I know that Kerry won't pull us out of Iraq, but we need someone else to run the campaign. We can't just pull out now because all of Iraq would be thrown into anarchy and/or civil war, however we need someone in charge capable of devising a clear exit strategy... Hell Bush can't even read or pronounce the word strategy.

How intriguing. If you can't make up your mind about who you would vote for this election then you shouldn't be allowed to continue living. Your choices are...
1. The former town drunk who scored a 1206 on the SAT's and gained widespread support for a pointless oil war by lying to the public. Where are those weapons of mass destruction anyhow? Bush also still seems to think that Iraq and Al-Qaeda are somehow connected. Bush also won't admit that the war was a bad idea, even though it's painfully obvious to everyone with any speck of intelligence inside them. He went in with little support from a small amount of countries and of course without the support from the UN. In fact Bush calls Kerry a flip flopper for changing his mind on the war, but Kerry is only one of millions of other US citizens who changed their mind when they found out that the Bush campaign was lying about the weapons of mass destruction and that the intelligence was all wrong. Many people in congress changed their opinion about the war as well.
or...
2. Senator of 20 years, he's not great, but a hell of a lot better than the other choice.

You can either give somebody who has already proven himself to be evil, corrupt, stupid and monkeylike another chance to fuck things up for half a decade, or use your vote to over-rule the cornfeds and give somebody else a chance, even if they might not seem perfect.

ive stopped listening to the news because i'm sick of hearing kerry this and kerry that or bush this and bush that, so him being a drunk is new to me (although was he the one rumored to also be on crack?). whatever, i dont care and frankly, i dont think people should care about my vote. there are too many people out there who will try to convince you to vote the other way (and waste my time at that), so i guess that has scared me into not wanting to make a decision
although if i HAD to vote, it probably would be for kerry, but if i had to vote, i'd also do more research on bush before i made a final decision

I think both the main US presidential candidates would be laughed at if they stood for election in any other country bar the USA.
That said, I would rather Kerry won, because I don't believe Bush is doing the worldwide community very much good.

Look at this moron, he's so young and stupid. He doesn't even have a reason for wanting to vote Bush, it's probably because he's so damn young. Go to bed already you silly young person.

I pay 87p a litre for fuel. Thats about 1.25Euro per litre and $7 a gallon if your in the US.
A bit shit when you consider we produce all our own oil but... 87% tax is a bit steep

1.10 euro/L OMV 100 octane here (Bulgaria). Same price for Shell's V-power 98. To make things worse, the russians raised the LPG price and fucked everybody depending on cheaper fuel.

The cheapest fuel has been since I started driving (late 1999) has been 75p a litre which is just under $6 a gallon, the most expensive was about $8 in 2000.
My car averages about 30mpg and I do about 450 miles a week. so I feel it hit the wallet

So that's what, $105 per week? Which is £57.

George Bush is a pathetic slime ball! That is all I can say.
The bastard was afraid to lose the close to 2.000.000 votes from Greeks living in the United States so he waited to pull off a nice stunt for the day RIGHT AFTER the election.
What did he do? Read this for more information regarding what he did (http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_world/view/115452/1/.html).

So he acknowledged Macedonia (former FYROM hahah). Big deal.
Why are you greek people so pissed off? Former BULGARIANS, former Yugoslavians - who cares - they are a free nation now. Leave them BE.
Lefteris_D
November 5th, 2004, 01:20
They can be free all they want, they earned it and nobody can deny that but they still have to pick another name as they have no legal claims in it. The largest part of aniciend Macedonia(including the capital Aigai/Vergina) is located within Greece and it's history is a part of Greek history.
Besides that, the current residents of FYROM and Bulgaria(where the rest of the original Macedonia is located) migrated to that location from areas in the northeast and northwest.
The whole name issue has no hostile intentions in it. During the past decate we have been supporting several countries in the Balkans in any way we can(those include both FYROM and Bulgaria).
I'd love to post more but the only reason I mentioned the whole insident is because Bush once again ignored the UN, EU and NATO as usual. If Bush keeps ignoring them then the results can never be good(example: all the wars he made).
Zach
November 5th, 2004, 01:26
Telling people they have no legal claim to a name for their crib, is like saying you can't have more than one city of the same name, or street, or person.
Its dumb
Lefteris_D
November 5th, 2004, 01:42
What more can I say? It's politics! That's why I leave the politicians handle that :)
Have I told you that the Heating Oil(low priced oil for use in heating devices during winter) is not cheap at all? The price has increased over 30% since last year.

So America has decided to confuse the use of one of your place names. No big deal. Most Americans think that the most famous Cambridge is within their borders. Also, a great deal of their cities are named after our place names, with "New" prexixed on them. New York, New England, New Jersey. It's not just our places either - New Amsterdam for example.
You just have to deal with it, Greece.

I will say this though: I am not claiming that these figures are accurate, or that they're not just propaganda. But they do have a very obvious correlation. That means the chances are they're either true or fabricated. You just can't be sure without knowing the full story.

Na, Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 V6, I hate it though, really terrible car from a dynamic point of view. Going to get a Honda Prelude 2.2 V-Tec in the near future, I want something with good handling.
Its not as if I can get away with not having a car really, the nearest bus stop (or train station) to my work is about 6 miles away, I could drive a smaller car (maybe get 40mpg to one), but for all the saving (about £6 a week or something), its not worth the inconvienence of having a small car.

Hah they claimed they don't speak Bulgarian but some sort of "Macedonian" language. It's like claiming that Cubans don't speak Spanish or most of the Australians don't speak English. Bullshit but our politicians acknowledged their Macedonian (almost pure Bulgarian) language.

Hondas rule! I drove a friend's Civic for a while and I almost fell in love with the car. I'm not familiar with Vectras that powerful but I drove Calibra once and I can't say I'm impressed (I remember you wanted to buy one some time ago). I ride a french car now - pretty comfortable but not much of a performance. Bloody fuel prices are killing me because I got used not to move my but without the car.
