I just basically want to find out, once and for all, some solid answers / information regarding a system, which could emulate old school systems... I keep getting knock-backs regarding an Xbox360 being able to emulate an old school system like the Sega systems (mastersystem and mega-drive) and Nintendo systems (NES and 64)... The I get told an Xbox1 can do it... but I get really loose information regarding it, one guy said he can sell me an Xbox1 pre-moded with 4 gig worth of old school games... yet he has no idea what games would be on the system... To be honest... I have a list of the old school games I want... Im fair specific about the game id want too...

Is this impossible... to get my hands on a system, that could play all the specific games I want, from old school systems... some games Id want on such a particular system would for example, the Alex The Kid games, all the Rampage versions, Sonic The Hedgehog series, Donkey Kong games, Jurassic park, etc etc. Any help would be sincerely appreciated

You know, just the one post in the Retro emulation and games forum would have been enough. No need to spam the boards.

There are emulators available for the original XBox. If you run a search in the xbox emulation forum there are posts explaining how the xbox needs to be modified to make them work, and how to use FTP to transfer the games onto it.

You can emulate Master System, NES, Genesis (megadrive), arcade and a number of other systems. As for the games they are subject to copyright so you would need to source those yourself. The rules on this board prohibit discussion of romsites that host copyright roms.

You can also hook up a PC with Playstation 2 or 3 pads or Xbox360 pads and emulate any old systems on your PC.

Currently there aren't any emulation projects working on the 360, you can get results on the PS3 but it involves running a specific version of Linux on it, then using the emulators designed for Linux with it.
