hey guys i just recently started playing n64 and anways the controller i have is based on a ps1 controller and therefore doesn't really have enough buttons....so does anyone know of a good one that's close to the the actually n64 controller in function?

You want to use a pad that's got at least one Analogue stick and at least 14 other buttons including the d-pad.
you can get away with a Dual Shock, PS3 pad or xbox360 pad. Obviously for the best experience though, find somewhere selling USB N64 pad converters and use an N64 pad.

Some cause jumpy buttons and make it impossible to play. To ovoid this buy from a reputable maker. Lots to choose from in the lines of n64, I even make/sell them ;)

cool beans didn't know that was even possible..... umm is it possible to let me know the round about price of a fresh n64 controller with that adapter? all the controllers i have/have seen the stick is all kinds of worn out...you could just pm me:)

Set the C buttons to the right analog stick. That should do the trick. In case you need to change the layout for games like Mortal Combat where the C buttons are important, you can create controller profiles.
