I have an BFG Geforce 8800gt and I just started to overclock it.I know that if there is any instability or screen glitches then I have OCed too much, but I need to know if there is a way to OC too much without noticing any glitches or instability. I am using EVGA Precision to Overclock.

These are the speeds.

Is it safe to overclock more?

Test for stability by using OCCT GPU test or by looping 3D Mark Vantage for 4 hours.

There's no such thing as overclocking it too high, but make sure you watch your temps and test after increasing by small increments. One of my 8800GTs are the reference BFG that has the terrible stock cooler. I had to turn that to full blast to get any meaningful cooling.

Some cards come already overclocked. Depends on the manufacturer of course.

Gotta be honest.. 8800 series seem crap for overclocking performance gains.. My 8800GTS 512 came factory O/C'ed somewhat, and I've pushed it a little further but just stopped caring because I really don't notice -that- much of a difference.
