Noob-In-Need

Ive read that its common but I just want to make sure if its possible to avoid. I recently obtained Pcsx2 and a Valkyrie Profile 2 .Iso. I am able to get it to run for about 3 seconds showing a logo and then it crashes. Any suggestions to help or am i outta luck?
