Final Fantasy 7 Disk 2 Question

Hey, im currently playing FF7 on the PSX emulator. Now my question is this, how do i play the 2nd disk and still keep all my progress from the 1st disk? Since there is no physical memory card how can disk 2 recognize that I have beat the 1st disk and am ready to move on to the 2nd.

If someone could let me know i'd appreciate it.

Save the game in psx emulator memory card and will work!

Thanks a lot man. I just wanted a definite answer and didn't want to play the first part and then not be able to play the 2nd and 3rd.
