Before i continue I would like to point out that the forum rules state that i may not request roms, so i shall not. I am not asking for roms, but rather what to do with them once i have them. I give my word that any rom i download i own a legitimate copy of, but has either become lost or damaged over the years.

I am interested in building a portable playstation 1, I saw a design for a portable N64 and decided to try my luck with Playstation. I want to know how to play roms on a PSone. The roms on websites i have seen offer the game in multiple parts. How do i get from that to a playable game? I am considering buying a boot disk as i have been told that if a hardware modification does not support a particular game your playstation will no longer be able to play it, even if it is a legit copy.

It's quite simple really. Download the PSX Emulator (just Google that and you'll be fine). Extract the folder that the emulator and the BIOS files are in, open the emulator, and depending on which emulator you download, you just have to click file, open. If here is no menu bar on your emulator, refer to the read me for help. (These emulators may come in .rar format. I recommend 7-Zip to extract these files.)

As for finding Roms, try dope Roms, Cool Roms, or Rom Nation. (Again, just use Google.)

I hope I helped out!
