Is it possible to install an emulator (say xbox or N64) on an external HDD and getting your PS3 to read it?

I asked quite a few techies as to whether they thought it was possible and they all agreed yes, some saying that they knew people who had done it.

yes it is theoretically possabel... in theory communism works. now heres why not.

They are built for windows/ lynix based oses the os ran by the ps3 wouldnt no wat 2 do w thoes files....

Too bad this won't work. Sounded like a really good idea. You would be able to save space on your PS3's HDD. I am poor so yeah.
