Mupen64 ocarina of time issue

I have recently been using Mupen64 to play OOT and have 1 minor issue. The in game start menu (the one that list your inventory) takes a while to load. If anyone has a way around this let me know.

It all depends on the rom you have. Every n64 emulator that I know of does that for that specific Rom. If you are able to get a different rom, then it might not have that annoying problem.
