Hey guys, the other day I found my PS1 and final fantasy 8 :D, but two of my disks were scratched, and then eventually my ps1 disk motor burned out :(

So I tried to get it on computer, my friend helped me to set up an emulator, hes using epsxe and delta, we got it all running fine, except L2 and R2 buttons didn't work. I was fine with kicking every monster in the games ass, until I came up to the part when your doing the SeeD exam and you fight that massive robot that Quistis eventually guns down, and it's unbeatable, you have to weaken it and then run away (R2 + L2).. I tried to change it to all sorts of button but still didn't work. So my friend lent me his gamepad, I plugged it in, configured the buttons, gamepad works fine, and played, and the controls were still stuck to the old ones, so when I was trying to fix the R2 and L2 buttons, they weren't actually changing... Even though it says it did.

I've checked and made sure I was configuring the right game, I've tried configuring both controllers, I've tried pushing F5 like it says I should, I even got my friend to look at it and he didn't know why either, any know what I can do to make it work?

Thanks

Lol, Maybe I wrote too much? In conclusion:

It acts as if I'm changing the controls for the wrong game, the new controls I have set stay, but it sticks to the old ones in game.

I'm using ePSXe and Delta. And the game is Final Fantasy 8.

Cmooon Internet, don't fail me now :P

Not encountered any problems like that, perhaps its an issue with Delta (which is prety rudundant now as you can set everything up directly using the Menu's in ePSXe).

Things to try are:

Use a different controller plugin.

Set your controllers up directly through the gamepad menu in ePSXe without using Delta.
