Capcom Fighters

I'm having a problem with the majority of Capcom 2D fighters, I've down loaded a good few, Street Fighter, Pocket Fighter etc. and the frame rate is horrible, starts O.K then hits 20-30 FPS!! :(

Is there a particular config that is best suited to these games??
