Online mame?

I was wondering would be nice if exists a Mame version lik a "Online Mame", where you pick a game and it downloads the the necessary ROMS and BIOS by demand.
What do you think guys?

Pretty sure the authors would be sued out of existence. Mame roms and bios files are all subject to copyright so in most cases are illegal for most people to own.
Mame like most other emulators is allowed to exist because the emulator and author don't breach copyright and don't outwardly endorse or provide roms. If that situation changed the whole thing would be shut down pretty quickly.

Better that the status quo is maintained, everybodys happy and the need to be able to source, download and update roms keeps the userbase at a level that doesn't cause alarm to the people that own the copyrights to the games.

Well... it could be a unofficial project.... and Roms could be downloaded via torrent....

Unofficial projects can also harm MAME.
It's not that much work to download the MAME ROMs. They're hosted everywhere (websites, P2P, torrents, UseNet).
