PS3 Dualshock wirless controller turn off

I'm using a PS3 wireless dualshock controller on my PC. Is there a way to turn it off to save power? I don't think the thing turns itself off so it runs out of power after a few hours even if I'm not using it

I'd actually consider taking them out if I could get to it but I'd have to unscrew it and take it apart.

Unplug it then. Either way it's off :P
