bad rom

I downloaded the Snes rom Star Ocean and whenever I open up the rom, it says bad rom on the opening after a couple seconds. Is this something I should be worrying about? Other people didn't have problems with the rom but is there any way I can fix it?

Check your ROM with NSRT (http://snesemu.black-ship.net/index.php?page=tools). If it's bad, there's a small chance NSRT can fix it. If not, just download a new one ;)
