Somehow, when I emulate ToD1 in the ePSXe, when I go to certain places (the only ones I checked is Cherik) the screen goes haywire and it produces a screen that's barely visible(black with lines going down on it, and the lines display the actual screen. weird thing is, the dialogue boxes look okay...)

Is this a technical problem? I mean with the Emulator, or the rom? or the video plug-in? what I already tried using is pete's D3D Driver 1.77 and pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77.
Can someone help me? I'm playing in vista BTW, with ePSXe version 1.7.0.

One more thing: the problem only occurs while i'm in the town... if i'm on the field or even the menu screen, the game is fine...

UPDATE: I now confirmed that the ROM is not to blame... I've already used 2 ROMS, and I still have the bug...

This is my VIDEO PLUG-IN Pete's d3d 1.77

After reading your post above, it seems to me that everything is ok. THere is nothing wrong with the setup. The problem is peculier to me. Confused.

Well, my first suggestion would be to try another graphics plugin.

After that, try another emulator like PSX.
