Sorry, I am a complete noob at this whole emulator idea. I recently downloaded Gcube for my Mac, and the files are blank & require that I choose a specific application to open them with. Am I supposed to re-name these files, or do anything with them? Thanks in advance.

gcube doesn't have high compatability with commercial roms...if you want to try and open a rom you probaly have to use command line, open a terminal and run gcube with the rom path(ex: ./gcube /home/user/rom.gcm).

Sorry, I'm completely a noob, and I don't really understand what you mean. So, I get the files, and do what with them?

I know this may seem a bit off topic, but holy crap there is a Game Cube emulator for the Mac? I did not know that.
