I've downloaded the VisualBoyAdvance GBA emulator, and the Pokémon Red rom, and have since been encountering problems saving the game. I used the default options, and tried the file save feature, as well as the in-game save, and the save-state slots. I also tried to chang the save options. For example, I switched the flash from 64K to 128K, and I have also changed from Automatic to EEPROM to SRAM to Flash, and everything in between. Still my attempts have been in vain. Can anybody help me save the game?

I don't think the ROM is the issue. I've tried this with a quite a few others, and it still would not let me save.

Make sure the rom isn't write-protected. (Meaning read-only).
I had the same problem a while back, so I just switched to the Bgb emulator and the save states worked fine in that one with Pokemon.
