So i use smartgear to emulate gbc on my pocket pc.

It works great, except for two problems:

1. It does not advance the time in games like pokemon silver when the emulator is not running

and

2. I cannot push more than one button at a time, even when mapped to hardware buttons... so it pretty much rules out anything but rpgs

Anyone know of another emulator that DOES correctly emulate the time system, or multiple button presses?

Thanks in advance.

Visual Boy Advance Emulates this feature automatically for those pokemon games. Its a whole crapload better then smartgear, lol

Are you running vbace currently? If so, what device are you running it on? Any tips for getting it going?

I tried last night on on my ppc 6800, but it crashed when i try to run a rom.

Also it seems to to be picky about which of my roms even show up in it's browser.

I'll be working on getting it up again today.

Thanks for the suggestion, hopefully i can get it to run.

I found the answer to my own question. I figured I would post in case anyone here was interested... emulation on my mobile phone has saved me from hours of boredom.

I could not get visualboy for windows mobile to run on my device (ppc-6800), it kept crashing...

BUT

Pocket gnuboy emulates the real time clock perfectly, and is extremely stable.

Happy gaming.
