Ultimate Dreamcast Emulator

I was just wondering if I was to make an emulator on an 8GB DVD will the dreamcast be able to read it or do I have to use a lot of CDs.

Nope, the DC only reads plain CDRs and GD-ROMs. Any bigger than GD-ROM (1GB) it won't read.
It's not that much work to switch CDRs ;)
