I've never done this... Please a little help!

I just a got a Gateway DSL/Cable router and i want to connect my Billion DSL modem to it. The reason is i want to have wireless in all my home to use my laptop. Sorry to ask but i need a step by step guide. Sorry but i got it used and no manual were in it. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a step by step guide but have you checked your routers/modem's official site to see if you can download the manual on pdf?

I found it try a few things , but when i try to connect my laptop ,i can connect to it with excellent signal point ,but access is LOCAL ONLY. Thanks but i called a technician for the first time to do something in my PC.
