i've been reading about the "new" (to me at least, been awhile since a update) epsxe 1.7.0 and one of the my fav games that froze on 1.6.0 is now playable on 1.7.0. but now they say it has a GTE bug, but its still playable. what does GTE stand for, what causes it, and how can it be fixed? i search various sites and i could not find it.
thx in advance

GTE stands for Geometry Transformation Engine.
From Wikipedia:
"Geometry transformation engine
This engine is inside the main CPU chip. It gives it additional (vector-)math instructions used for the 3D graphics."
GTE bugs are errors that come up because emulation isn't 100% yet. They most likely corrupt the 3D graphics in your game. Only solution is to wait for a new update of ePSXe. If you are unsure that a particular error is a GTE bug you could try another graphics plugin to see if the problem was caused by the plugin you used instead,
