Well this is basically it: Is there any need for other N64 emulators when I already have PJ64?

I'm currently checking out 1964 and Mupen64 but those haven't been updated in 3-5 years. Surely the pJ64 must be ahead of them by now?
I tried to test the 1964 using the Super Smash Bros rom but the emu freezes efter a while (Ive tried a couple of different plugins). Now I just wonder if it's worth the bother to try and get it up and running?

There's a version of mupen64 that can be used to make TAS videos, project64 doesn't have that.

Ok, I'm just looking to play some games so if that is the only reason I think I won't bother with Mupen and 1964.

Well I believe one Star Wars game and Resident Evil 2 hardly or doesnt work at all on Pj64 so you might want to see if the other emus work.

Couldn't find any info in the FAQ about any SW games not working. As for RE2 I'd rather play the PSX version. So I guess there's not much bother. As for Super Smash Bros, I'v never been too fond of that game anyway.
