View Full Version : I can't get SNES9x to work on my Mac!

The file downloads just fine, but comes out as "snes9x-15-macosx.dmg.gz", something that my Mac can't read. Even trying to delete the ".gz" part doesn't help - when I do that it says "no mountable file systems." Am I supposed to find another program to open it or what? Emulators for GBA and N64 work on my Mac just fine. I'm using an ibook G4 with OSX, by the way.

I've been dying to play games I haven't been able to get my paws on since I was a kid, but unfortunately most of those are SNES games. I appreciate the help!

I'm not familiar with Mac nowadays, but gz is a GZip file. I've only used it on Linux but it's a cross-platform format so you need a Mac-program capable of unzipping gz-files. One such program could maybe be found here (http://www.gzip.org/#exe), and more if you Google it.

That is, if you're sure that you've downloaded the Mac-version of the emulator... ;)
