Did that get your attention? Don't turn back now, It wasn't just a ploy. First, you should go read my posts regarding Zelda:4swords on gbalink. This way I don't have to state my problem over again, thus this thread will be short (er).
This will be a two part thing. First, I need help, and Im willing to pay. Second, I would like suggestions for new games to beat. I will offer some suggestions to die-hard rpg-ers who think they've beat them all.
First, let me explain my REAL problem. (If you're one of those dudes who hates to read, skip the following paragraphs.)
So I am a landscape contractor. I don't work during the winter months because it is very cold in Colorado. Generally I have traveled to warmer places during that time. Mexico, Cali, Puerto Rico, etc. Last year, I didn't make enough to travel, and thus I had to lock myself in the house with my wife, booze, and tons of video games. (lets face it, times are hard)
Me and my wife love video games. Namely, we love RPG's and ESPECIALLY the two player kind. (there aren't many.) Last winter, we nearly beat every decent RPG ever made, as well as a few that just flat out sucked. In an effort to NOT get suggestions for games we've already beaten, heres what we played last winter:
Zeldas: 1,2,3, windwaker, twilight, even links awakening on GBC.
Final Fantasy: 1,2,3, 7,8,9,X (i loved them all, she had mixed feelings)
Secret of evermore: (I've heard it all, but this game was lame)
Secret of mana: ok
Illusion of gaia: rocked. play it if you havent. it is the sequel to soul blazer (which sorta sucked)
Legend of the Mystical Ninja (rocked. actually. if you haven't played, play it!)
Dragon Quest: 1,2,3: they were amusing enough that we beat all three
Lufia (snes): kinda amusing.
Lagoon: amusing, but were convinced there is no way to beat this game.
Dark alliance (ps2) pretty fun. but no comparison to
Champions of Norrath 1 &2. Both excellent games, but a little too easy
Fallout I&II (PC) If you haven't played them, id say go for it. They were fun.
Seems like there were more, but you get the idea. We're running out of options, and we have a long winter ahead. (and yes, we have all these cartridges/disks)
So when we heard you could play Zelda 4 swords on gbalink, on a wireless network (which is what we have) we almost flipped out. My wife got the cartridge for a birthday present. Obviously never got to play because we'd be DAMNED if we were to get two gba's. I am more than willing to go buy another cartridge if I can get this working, just to play legit.
So if you read my posts, you'll see how far I got. :/ I read a lot of forums and things to find out if it were truly possible. Some say no, some said yes. Peanut Gorilla says DEFFINATELY: CONFIRMED. This is just maddening.
So i subscribed here in hope of getting some help. The days go by, and I watch my threads being pushed further and further into the archive of old conversations. There are actually youtube vids showing it being played, and obviously being played on a pc with two players.
So there it is. We are desperate to play this game. It looks like a blast and were so bummed out we can't play it. So heres my offer:
I will paypal you some money ($20) if you help us get this working. I will not send payment until were are full-on engaged in Zelda bliss.
Im sure its something simple.
If you're interested, you can email me at ecofloral@yahoo.com (ecofloral llc. is my landscape company) I assure you im not just some scumbag nerd kid who is going to get my problem resolved and not hold up my end of the bargain. we may want to speak with you directly on your phone to get this working, so be prepared to do so.
Please don't email me with 'ok, so whats your problem?' read my posts. Its all there.
If you want to suggest more awesome rpgs, please do so! We prefer NES SNES PS2 Game cube games as well as PC. We would like more 2 player rpg's but we still enjoy beating the single player games together.
Thanks for reading.
Hope this works.
Thank you:
Evan and Jess
