Assuming you talking a PS controller here, needing a "convertor" box to hook it via "PC" - the "GameMon Universal USB Adapter" is an ideal ( http://members.lycos.co.uk/lobcommunity/Docs/Gaming/EmuHelpN64ControllerConfig.htm - an article of mine, though scroll down to the square white box for the ideal...) Also an article on the subject ( http://members.lycos.co.uk/lobcommunity/Docs/Gaming/ControllersPCvsConverter.htm ). Can find many others by Ebay, now knowing the needed types. Hope this helps ya... ;)

If it's made to play on PS3 (not talking PC here with a USB connector) - you need a converter box designed to "convert" it for use on the PC. The box I suggested may or may not work (taking PS controllers have the same connector), but an ideal...

the people who say you need a converter box are uninformed and giving you bad info.
