framerate problem

I've been trying to play final fantasy tactics for quite some time now. Finally got a new graphics card that actually runs things :). I've loading up the ROM and my frame rate is around 6 or 8 and its very annoying. I would rate myself as not too intelligent on matters such as these and would like to know if there are any options i can set in visualboy to maximize speed. Thanks

you can try using the frame skip feature, or you can set the emulator at high priority so that your visualboyadvance emulator will be taking most of the computers resources

Your graphics card upgrade will also make very little difference as far as most emulators are concerned.

They are more dependent on CPU and Ram as most of the routines are running in software, not hardware.
