ive been searching the net for a windows ME emulator, is there a such thing out there? all help would be apreciated.

Explain,,, Xp already comes with an me 98 95 emulator? So does Vista I here.

They are not emulators, they are compatability modes/layers which is a very big difference..

There are no emulators for Windows operating systems.. When people want to run another windows OS they use a virtual machine, which emulates an entire PC, and installs Windows to that PC's hard drive (usually contained within a huge file)..

If your intent is to play games however, give up now. There is no way to do that unless they are basic 2D non-hardware accelerated

Good point. But that depends on what he s looking for. If you want to emulate a 98/95/me style dos games ( not windows ) Dos Box may work for you. Xp will run "most" me games not all.

Does it have to be free? if not.. try http://www.iemulator.com/

or http://bochs.sourceforge.net/. witch i think is free.

Keep in mind same rule applies as Zach said about VM's. if you need to run resource-intensive.. Forget it.

Also you can still use a VM' for the mac.
