Hey guys, I'm new here, hope you can help me.

I'm trying to get PCSX2 running and am having a few problems. There is extremely jerky sound and video, totally unplayable. I understand my PC spec is just about able to handle what I'm asking it to do, so I don't know what the problem is.

3.2ghz P4
1gb ram
Geforce FX 5500

I've tried with Tekken 4 and GTA San Andreas, both are unplayable using ZeroGS KOSMOS.

Any advice?

By the way guys, the pcsx2 site itself has some benchmark figures that specifically state that it is just about possible to get away with playing some games perfectly with my current spec, but that many games would run slow. I'm not too fussed about a jerky frame rate so long as I can get them up and running. It's just the jerky audio and complete unplayability that's the issue.

I have checked in the task manager and my cpu is running at 50% idle process. Why on earth would this be?

Sorry, done a bit more reading and have discovered my spec just isn't up to it. Also being a broke student I won't be upgrading any time soon.

Looks like I'll stick to playing the games on my actual PS2 then. Ho hum.
