Final Fantasy 8 world map issues

Hi. When I try to get onto the world map, epsxe freezes and then quits. This message is displayed:

Opcode 3f UNK (PC 0082 c8c) (27932,259)
it also says closing core SPU, but changing the SPU doesnt help

I'm using epsxe 1.7.0, petes 2.9 GPU and the epsxe SPU. I got on the world map before, but now I can't. Any solutions?

Also, the game freezes when I try to use save points, so Im saving entirely by savestates. If you have a solution here, answer too please.

Hi try use the epsxe 1.6 or psx emulator for Fina Fantasy Series.
