MAMEwah freezes at exe

When I double click the mamewah exe, the screen turns black and the nothing happens. The computer is not frozen, I can still shut down, but unable to get to the desktop. I don't see the mamewah is running in the task manager either.

Problem solved...I made sure my video drivers were up to date, and also installed Direct X.
