Gameshark Codes

Hi there,

I do apologies for my ignorance within this topic, but I downloaded NO$GBA version 2.5 and playing Pokemon Green (Please, no hassles!) Further more, I am wanting to do the rare candy cheat and a few other cheats. But I have hit a wall, I don't know how to enter the gameshark codes in.

Could someone please explain to me (step by step?) on exactly what to do please?
