Trouble with ZSNES Connection

My Netplay connection on the ZSNES Emulator isn't working for a friend and I.

We can't connect to each other. It'll just keep saying waiting for client or whatever or connecting to server depending on whoever starts the server.

I gave her my IP but when she puts it in it won't let her connect to me.

What do we do?

Do 1 of yous have a mac and the other windows??
I dont think they can go together..

Sounds like a firewall problem to me.
