Ok so i've been looking around and have found a lot of places that ask about super mario advance 4 not working.well it does.you just need to configure it right.i figure the easiest way to do it is to follow these steps(i have vba w/link version1.8).
A.)open vba and take note of the settings that are checked in options, emulator, and save type.
B.)close that and open up your internet browser
C.)find a place where you can download the Rom. DGEmu has it, but i will not post a link.
D.)Download the Rom and bring it to the directory where all your other Roms are.
Pay Attention Closely, i don't want to confuse anyone
E.)Open up VBA (1.8 in my case)
F.)Load up the rom, but quickly hit the file setting, do not speed anything up
G.)when you hit the file setting make sure the background is whte and says Game boy Player
H.)Go to options, and scroll down to emulator, and uncheck Automatic IPS Patching
I.)Next Go to Options again, scroll down to emulator, go to save type, and hit Automatic.
J.)go to your directory with the program itself, and delete (filename here).sa1
K.)you should be fine after that, oh and one more thing go to options, gameboy, and click Automatic, not border automatic, just automatic.
L.)Have fun!!!!
