Wireless access points problem?

Hi i just got a new laptop a Compaq Presario F750 US with latest technologies.

Now i get it in my car and by searching my city i found a lot of UNSECURED NETWORKS ,which means they are free. The Strength point is 4 out of 5 in 90 % of the cases , but my problem is ,i can connect to this networks but it says ACCESS LOCAL ONLY .

It's a bit strange cause a day they work ACCESS LOCAL AND INTERNET and some other day they just say ACCESS LOCAL ONLY. ?????????

I don't think there is really a way to explain this without knowing something about the networks you are connected to.

They are free,not secured,they are sure to work ,the router is on ,(i have my contacts which tell me everything) the signal is good , i really dont know why i get only LOCAL ACCESS ONLY ,not LOCAL AND INTERNET. But i found a good point which gets connected always. Now i know my way. Thanks anyway.
