Well i was using petes DX6 D3D Driver as a video plugin to play FF9.. but whenever someone uses a spell.. the FPS takes a HUGE dump and it gets choppy until the spell finishes.. so i decided to switch..

I switched to :

P.E.O.Ps Soft Driver 1.18

Now when i go in the game and engage the battle everything is FINE!!!! BUT! i cannot see the HEALTH bars of any characters and i cant see the COMMAND menu to select commands..

Im on 1024 x 764 in game screen resolution
and streching : Scale to window size, keep aspect ratio
under OPTION nothing is ticked and scanlines are disabled..

what is wrong? Can anyone offer suggestion. This happens to EVERY plugin i use!..

Any chance your still on 1.6.0?

From the source below.

This game runs flawlessly as long as you use ePSXe 1.5.2. (or any future version other than 1.6.0). DO NOT EVER TRY TO PLAY WITH 1.6.0. as it will give you nothing but problems in the long run.
