why do cps3 games take this long to boot in mame this is a joke!

The original machines used a Disk inside and the first time the machine is switched on it has to load the game from disk into memory. This is exactly what happens in mame.
It only does this load the first time you boot the game and so long as you don't delete the contents of the nvram folder the game will start immediately every time you play it after that.
