This is all new to me, but I'm willing to put in the time to learn, so please bear with me for a moment.

I downloaded the MAMEUIFX32 emulator. That's about as far as I got. ROMs missing. Every game I've tried (a couple dozen randomly) has between 10 to 30 missing files. I've gone through the FAQ and the troubleshooting, but nothing seems to be a clear path towards making the beast roar. Anybody willing to help me with a walkthrough? I'm using Vista if it makes a difference...

Thanks.

You've downloaded the emulator which allows the games to be played on a PC. However none of the games come with the emulator as they are all subject to copyright.

You need to find a source for the game roms, then once you've downloaded a few you leave them zipped, place them in the mame\roms folder and away you go.

A number of arcade systems (like SNK/NeoGeo for example) also require a bios rom to be present in the rom folder.

The forums AUP prohibit discussion of romsites or where or how to get roms so you will need to be a bit creative with google.

Once you've got the files you need, if you're still having trouble then post again.
