Cant install Windows Live messenger

For some reason I cant install WLM.

This is what comes up when I try

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Is your antivirus interfering with your setup?
Is this package from a trusted source such as live.com or microsoft.com?
Do you have enough disc space?
Are you behind a firewall or conected through a proxy?

none of the above, but It is from MS.

why do you want windows messenger the program is more trouble than yahoo messenger is.

Make sure your windows xp sp2 is installed because without sp2.. It won't installed.
