Daphne

Hello,

As I'm getting my MAME, Vpinball and other to work on my cab.. Now I'm thinking about trying to get Daphne running.. I have downloaded Daphne on my MAC.. I see with Daphne even though you can download some games through them, you still need a actual disc. I used to put some serious coinage in Cliff Hanger back in the day, is this available for Daphne?? Can it be bought retail in disc form?? I see that Digital Leisure does not carry that game...

In googling the net I've seen there are other avenues to obtain these games, but don't really know if that's a safe bet or what...

I see some have used old laserdisc players as well to play these games... I wish the laser disc games Firefox would be released.. :)

Hello!

I am running Daphne emulator in windows and I have .mpg and roms to run it just fine. You can run an actual disc but you can also download .mpg and roms that require to run for Daphne emulator instead as well. It is not for a beginners because it is complicate and difficult to understand. I put them away in other room. My favorite is Dragon's Lair and Dragon's Lair 2 arcade coin op for this emulator and it was great!

I'll have to keep an eye out for the files I suppose.. yeah I remember walking up to the Dragon's Lair game and freaking out... Playing a cartoon?? A lot of extra change got dumped into it too.. :) I'll probably wait a bit until I can collect what I need and then give it a whirl..
