Hello,

Well now that my cabinet is up and running I started looking into pinball for it.. I downloaded pinmame, pinmame32, visual pinball and I am really confused here... I have read and understand you need roms for the displays and tables for the game play part... Pinmame32 only displays the actual digital displays and not the games...

One walk through said I needed pinmame, vpinmame downloaded all the files and put them where they were supposed to be but the beta was old..

I can't seem to get visual pinball to run, says the betas to old.. So I got an all in one installer and it looks like an editor to make the pinball tables.. You can play the tables from here.. So I found a couple and loaded them, the tables appear but do not respond to keyboard input..??? I am obviously doing something very wrong here..

Do you need roms, tables, sounds and put them all in there...??? Maybe a pointer in the right direction..

Thanks..

Pinmame emulates the actual electronics of the pinball machine (all the switches, scoring etc). Visual Pinball supplies the visuals to correspond to whats going on in Pinmame. Try pressing F3 once the table has loaded in Visual Pinball.

I tried it and no luck the table just appears but nothing else... I ran across some tables and other files and will have to see if that works...

Sounds like you haven't set up pinmame properly. Don't forget to generate your pinmame.ini file using the commandline exactly the same way as with normal commandline mame.
