HELP! Color Issue with All Emulators

Here's a weird one. I've tried several different emulators across all platforms and all of them are tinted a redish brown color. Here's the weird part, when I click on the start button, the color is normal, when I go back to the game, it turns brown again. I've tried all different codecs, I updated my DirectX, and I've got a top of the line system. Why isn't this working?!?! SOMEONE HELP PLZ!!

Change the desktop color depth. More on, try changing the texture settings e.g. from "RGBA 8" to "R4 G4 B4 A4" etc and then try again.

3.2 GHz Pentium 4
1 Gb DDR Ram
200 Gb hard drive
ATI Radeon 9800 256mb Pro
Audigy 2ZS Platinum Sound Card

Updated all drivers within the last week.
