View Full Version : PJ64 controller analog stick sensitivity

I'm using PJ64 1.6.

My analog stick seems to be all or nothing -- for example when I play Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie, the character is either running or stopped. I can't seem to get it to walk slowly.

I've gone to the configuration menu and played with analog range, and when I crank it down, the character goes from running/stopped only to walking/stopped only. Again, there seems to be no range of speed.

Do I have a crappy controller? Or is this a typical problem? Or is it easily solved?

Anyone else had/have this problem?

Do you think the N-Rage plugin would help solve this problem? Does anyone use it?

Either plug in works read here (http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=12773)

Hmmm...

I went the the above post, read it, installed N-Rage plugin, played with the sliders, and it's still the same problem. No change.

This persistent problem makes playing Banjo, Mario, Conker, and a lot of other platformers frustratingly difficult -- to the point where I often have to go to the menu and adjust the slider bar while playing the game when it's necessary to walk slowly.

Anyone have any suggestions?

What joy stick do you have? Are you using an analog stick?

I live in Japan, so the brand may be unfamiliar to you.

Its a Sanwa, and it does have an analog stick of course.

Any recommendations for any controllers that in fact do work well? Or any plugin other than N-Rage that might do the trick?

Thanks in advance for any help!!
