Okay, i've noticed that on both my DS and 64 emulators to be slow at like 50-80% speed, when i go into options or something that pauses the game, and then return, it runs full speed, and then delibrately goes back down

iv gone as far as turning off as many processes as possible and it still does this. I dont get how my pc can handle bioshock, but not this. and iv looked quite a bit for an answer but iv found none

help would be greatly apreciated

Emulators are not the same as PC games, so you can't compare BioShock with them. And NDS emulators don't use hardware acceleration. That means, no matter how powerful your video card is, performance won't improve. It's mostly a processor thing.

i know and i understand exactly what your saying, but it stays at full speed for about 8 seconds, then drops down to 80% for no reason.

For example, im playing phoenix wright, and all it is, is text and a black screen (not graphic problems, just actual gameplay) and it slows down in the midst of it

This sounds like some kind of throttling problem.. It could also be a frameskip issue, or both combined..

Does your emulation have speed limiting options? If it does you may need to play with them..
