Everything seems to run fine but more often than not when the game tries to load a new screen (when i enter a room, open a menu, ect...) the game will freeze when if fades to black and not load the new screen. I can even still hear the background music, any ideas on what to do?

I am also using the actual disk to play the game if it matters or not.

One more thing the freezing seems to happen less ofter but not completely stop if i save through the game instead of using save state.

Check if disk is scratched, if needed be, dump your CD to a CDImage
preferable CCD or Blindwrite.

also post your PC specs,
Emulator in use, Plugins, settings.

\\in case you missed, there's a hotfix for ff7 on pete's plugins. :)

You can run this actually disk on Xebra and see if it freeze or not.. Sometime it is just ePSXe emulator that does it.

The problem happens on both of the computers i play on my main one and my laptop

Main
-Intel dual core 2.8 GHz
-1GB of ram
-Nvidia Geforce 6800 with 256Mb

Laptop
-Intel dual core 2.4GHz
-3.75GB of ram
-Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS with 128Mb(and shares with the 3.75Gb of ram)

video - Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8
sound - Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
cdrom - ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2

The disk is a little scratched but nothing major, and i have played it on the actual playstation console before and it worked fine(dont have it anymore).

Also where can i find zebra for download to try it?

The problem seems to have stopped i don't know if i did anything while fiddling with settings or only certain areas of the game will be like this with the emulator but i will post again if it comes back.
