I have succesfully ran a couple of games(gran turismo and tenchu) on epsxe. It took me awhile to get my video plug-in selected correctly.
Like i said the games work, but they either play way too slow or try to speed up way too fast!!!also, sound is horrible, so bad in fact i turned all sound off!!

the games "STUTTER" is the best way i can descibe it;)

anyone know what im talking about??can someone help me , or is this as good as psx emulation gets??

my pc specs:

intel pentium dual-core @1.6 ghz
2 gb ram
intel chipset(dont know alot about graphics)

could this be a possible issue with my dual core(s)???

Talk to me people

thanks for any help!!!

Also, i have ran the games both from image and cd, with same results:mad:

you could try out if you could set to run the epsxe executable to run only on one of the CORES

about playing too fast, just tick in 'USE FPS LIMIT'
and the radio box 'FPS LIMIT's value of 60

about the sound. it must have the reverb settings.
depending on which plugin you use

Post us the Plugins you use.
perhaps even the settings too
'copy settings to clipboard'
then paste them here. :)

Good luck

im sorry this sounds stupid.
I need to know exactly how to post a pic in my post!!
I know how to take a snapshot of my desktop/screen with the prt sc. key,
I just dont know how to post it!!

But heres an update though>>>
I have all 3 PAL FFVII iso's, and I have the games running @ about 90% accuracy! I am very happy indeed! But I have a good question though...

when it comes time to change discs in the game, how will that work??I have read in other posts about people having probs i this area, but never learned of a remedy?

I am playing my games currently from images
(what is the difference) pros and cons, between the 2???

sorry if i sound stupid, cause im not, all of this is new to me!!!

I am really happy that I even got epsxe to work at all, my wife is the only one i can brag/talk to about it-and trust me she could give a shit less!!

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!!!

you may upload your images to any of these free image hosting services
www.imageshack.us
www.tinypic.com
on that page, browse for your saved screenshot (preferably JPG for images with lots of COLORS, OR .PNG format for Images that has lots of "WORDS" or TEXT that needs to be clear.

once the upload is done, you will be given some options, wither you use html, bb or direct link.

usually for forums like this, you wrap the IMAGE URL with this tag
THEURL
Where THEURL could be
www.tinypicshack.us/theimagelinkfromthem.png
then your IMAGE code becomes like this
www.tinypicshack.us/theimagelinkfromthem.png
but usually they already provide the BBtag just needed to be copied so it's easier for you.

not much really, but it tends to get crazy and NOT load your game.
just make sure you SAVE before you do any disc swapping.
both sstates or the formal memory card saves.

on the 'insert next disc page'
unmount your current image[disc 1 for example]
then mount in your [disc 2 image]
wait for the image to load properly,
if the game requires you to press a key, do so :P
everything spiffs out properly you should be back in your game with no erratic stuff.

then SAVE!

not really sure, but as far as my limited knowledge goes.
for mounted images, if mounted properly, the game will load faster, sounds will skip less (given you have the proper settings)
game doesn't slow much on certain games that slows down alot when loading data.
stable etc, stuff like that.

about running off cd (the mounted one is emulated so the EMU really just see's it as a standard CD\DVD Drive.

perhaps technical stuff such as timing are more accurate? but I have no concrete data about that, only the plugin writer knows (pete :D)

I am really happy that I even got epsxe to work at all, my wife is the only one i can brag/talk to about it-and trust me she could give a shit less!!
Have her play some crash bandicoot (you two 1-1 :D )

or beat the hell out of each other on tekken or trap gunner and DOA and team buddies.

Have fun, make sure you read the general ePSXe config guide if you run into more troubles.

im sorry this sounds stupid.
Nope, it doesn't :) once you get it, everything is just like walking in the park

Yes, some PSX [dunno which model] even reads CD\RW

Depends on what game, some games are not 100% backwards compatible with the PS2

3.which speed to burn the games, and why???
if the game has audio tracks, never burn at the lowest speed,
PSX games were burned using special Burners [which burns bad sectors, and at alternating speeds]

your best bet would be 15-35
