I have been playing the game for three days now only stopping to eat and sleep and among other things. Anyways I am stuck trying to beat the last race with Ingo to get Epona. Any tips on how to beat the race? A save state would be cool too but a PJ64 save state right after you have got Epona from Lon Lon Ranch. Thanks

Did you learn Epona's Song as young Link? Right before the race, call Epona and mount her. Epona is indeed the fastest horse, but still it's a bit of a challenge if you don't know how to turn a corner and time your boosts.

Yes I learned Epona's song. Yeah I guess I have to work on my technique. Thanks for the help.

Looking for Project64 save state Zelda Ocarina of Time. I am on Hyrule Adventure in the game. I am racing Ingo on the last race to get Epona. Just can't get through this one. I did when I owned the game a while back. I anyone has a saved state after you got Epona out of Lon Lon Ranch I would appreciate it. Thanks.

If you google for N64 game saves you should be able to find what you need online. There's loads of save states out there for most of the popular N64 titles.

Map information? Who requested this lol. Well thanks though that will be useful. A save state is what I am after. Thanks for the info.

I actually thought I was gonna have to start all the way over too. Damn beating Ingo at the horse race is hard. I forgot how hard it was. I read one guide to beating him at the last race to get Epona. The guide said to shoot him with arrows, but that seems to be a challenge.
Any advice on that one?

Easy, just race long aside him, being on the right - exactly right up against the fences of the pen - without using any "carrots" until you really need them to jump the higher fences, though while turning corners, try to ride into Ingo to push him back a bit and slow him down to use a carrot to gain ahead. ;)

Pretty easy if you get the technique down. ;)

Alright last two questions on this part of the game. The amazon.com info on this game was right frustrating lol. Anways on to my questions. What? you can jump the fences during the race? Also is it normal for Epona to rear up a few times at the start of the last race? This really puts the player behind in the last race.

Ah, one thing about "jumping the gates", somehow thought of the race afterwards with Malon... What I meant is, don't use the carrots unless that idiot gets past ya, though without using more then one to catch up, while hugging the gates (always staying on the right) of the horses' pen and as he gets up against you, run your horse up against his to slow him down enough to gain more carrots and blaze past him. Keep doing this while not running completely out of carrots and at the end, waste em. ;) Your horse shouldn't be "rearing up", so might be a glitch with the controller...

Well, if your still having trouble, knowing how frustrating it is, though getting down the "technique" is the hardest part - look at my profile for my "mailing address" and send me your save file and I'll take a crack at it and send it back. ;) Just a note: you have to bet him "twice" to actually get Epona. :p

Alright, I might give it a few shots much later tonight. I will give it a few more days at trying and then opt to send you the save file. I really appreciate this too by the way. Very generous of you. Thanks a million.

well here is a tip, use your carrots sparingly and stay as close to the gate as possible without touching it.
