SMILE!

It's pretty simple to add codes.

1. Start VBA

2. Load the game you want to add cheats to.

3. Click the Cheats tab, then select Cheat List

4. On the tabs at the bottom click either GameShark or CodeBreaker

Here is a link to

http://www.gamefaqs.com

On some games Gameshark has better codes, on most games CodeBreaker does. Sometimes the codes wont even work from either place.

Which ever type of codes you prefer to use find your game title you have loaded and load the code page.

Now from the site copy and paste the codes and information in the field areas they belong in. Make sure there are no hidden spaces after the codes. Sometimes you might get a message about the code not being compatible or it's for another game.

Once you have the codes in click OK. Now in VBA menu choose Cheats
then Save Cheat List. Make a new folder and name it Cheats, if one isn't there. Change the File Name: to GAMETITLE.clt and press Save.

Try this: Cheat (Drop Down Menu) - "Cheat List": Click on "Gameshark" and type in the description and copy then paste the code as it appears in the code box. Click "ok" when done and should save for ya. Hope this helps ya. ;)

No, it's working. Follow it again. It did work as an instruction above.

Hmmm... Maybe it doesn't have to do with your instructions, for they pretty much explain it, might be another problem here...

Hey jsf, try clicking "properties" on the ".cht" file in the game folder (though sometimes located in the main emulator forum) named after the game and make sure the file is not marked as "hidden" as seems to be a problem with VBA with Win2000 of not wanting to "recognize" its existence... If not, try making sure you have that dash between the codes. All I can give right now. Let us know if it works. ;)

I did mention about .cht file in the instruction. :)

Yeah, but it seems on Win2000 setting the .cht or .sav files to "hidden", VBA does seem to recognize it as it won't "read" nor "write" to the file... Don't ask me why, but wrote a doc on that too...
