Game Controllers on Emulators

Do cpu game controllers work on emulators. Specifically, the JNES 1.1 emulator? Any help would be great. :D

As far as I know they work.
My Microsoft Sidewinder works great.

hey i getting a a paddle from someone soon and the person thats making it for me knows how to solder better than me and has all the tools to make i jus gave him the pad and the extension for the pad and the instructions i gave to him are off this site

i saw in the disadvantages it says only work with window games
does that mean it wont work with my emulator? im using ePSXe
