Kawaks Problem

I'm having a problem with Kawaks, because it doesn't want to load my ROM.
I've checked everything: it has the right name, it's stored in Roms>>Neo Geo, I re-downloaded it and I have NEOGEO.zip in the Roms folder.
I have used Kawaks to Scan for new and Rescan all.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. the FAQ.txt and the tutorial on Kawaks I found both say my ROM should work :(

ya..i HAD problems like dat all the time. It could be 1 of 2 things. When u download the rom...keep it zipped and directly put it into the roms folder...if u unzip it..the emu wont detect it...or 2nd..kawaks suck...i kno ppl say kawaks is the best emu 4 NeoGeo..but its not...nebula is way easier to use and actually detects your roms..i used 2 use kawaks and it nvr worked..i went to tons of forums and did exactly wat dey said but it still nvr wokred....but then i downloaded a new NeoGeo emu called nebula..did the same thing to the roms as i did to kawaks..and it worked...im warning u that not all roms work that great on NeoGeo emu..a majority of them dnt work or cannot be detected but at least nebula can play much more then kawaks..trust me and try it
